When k came in, I wasn’t checked in. Instead I was checked in as a person named Tracy. The hair cut is longer on the left side and shorter on the right. There were a few pieces that I had to trim myself that were the length of my hair before I got it cut. My bangs were not blown dry correctly and kept parting in the middle.

I received the full body relaxation massage and signature dermaplane facial. The entire experience lasted under 60 minutes. The massage was $80 and the facial was $92. The aesthetician never touched my arms, hands or fingers. My legs were massaged at the same time, not individually. The massage did not include head or scalp, or even the back of the neck from all previous full body massages I have had in the past. The facial included a cleanser, what felt like one layer each of three different essential oils, a hot towel compress, and the dermaplane. The music had several loud commercials, interrupting the spa music. Once the facial started, the spa music ended and the station was changed to a mixture of R&B and hip-hop, both of which I like, just not promoting a relaxed environment of a spa, especially with increased volume commercials, every other song. From the time my name was called in the waiting room until I was escorted to check out was 62 minutes (massage, facial, time for undressing and redressing). I don’t like to complain, but I have yet to have a good experience at Ireland’s. I have never had a similar facial or massage experience like this one.

I scheduled a gel nail service and arrived with gel x nail extensions on. I advised Hannah, I believe her name was, exactly what the product was that I had on already. She never mentioned any hesitation about the removal process. She began soaking my nails off, without filing or anything. Just put them straight in acetone. Of course, that did nothing. She was advised by a coworker to file or drill them off & then soak. Which she borrowed a drill from a coworker. She continued to soak, drill, file, or even pick off my nails with her own fingernails, which I found repulsive. I was there for over an hour when I heard her and her coworker speaking negatively about how I booked the wrong service, to charge me extra, etc. If she wasn’t comfortable removing the nails I had on or if I had booked the wrong service, then she should have told me that when I sat down and told her what I had on my nails, not an hour into the service when my nails were still on. I ended up walking out, paying for a removal & leaving. I have never had this experience at a salon before.

Technician was over 30 minutes late then left me soaking for 15 minutes when she said she be gone for five kept disappearing. I had to ask for services that I requested on my feet. I asked for a spa pedicure and she was not going I asked for a spa manicure and I did not get one. I only got a basic manicure. Pressed no dryers to dry. The hands polish did not get the services I requested and will not be back.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. I came in asking for a polished look for an event I was speaking at later that day. I have naturally curly long fine hair. We discussed soft curls, but the few curls she set did not hold at all. I also question whether any proper styling products were used to actually set the hair. The stylist told me my ends looked good and that I didn’t need a haircut, so no cut was done. The style itself was very odd—a small, fanned-out ponytail at the top that looked nothing like what I expected—and it took an hour and a half to complete. I specifically asked her to use spray to manage noticeable flyaways, but very little was done to address them. When I got home and checked with a three-way mirror, I saw visible, harsh part lines in the back that I had to fix myself. Overall, it looked unfinished and not at all polished. The manicure was just as disappointing. My hands were not soaked or moisturized, and I wasn’t even asked to wash them. There was very little cuticle care and no attention to under-nail cleaning—just a very basic, rushed service. I was reviewing two speeches for later that day during the appointment and regret not paying closer attention to what was being done. For over $100, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. I didn’t have time to ask for corrections, but I definitely won’t be returning.

Massage was WONDERFUL, but this is the 2nd pedicure I have had with less than happy results. No one at check out asked if I was satisfied (either time). Only asked if I wanted to book something for the future and if I wanted to tip. I wanted a French manicure on my toes. The tech wanted to use gel. Nope, I wouldn’t be able to get that off at home. She understood and started painting with regular polish. She tried several times to use a pink base but had to keep redoing them. I asked for just white tips with clear. She said ok. She proceeded to paint my whole toenail white. After 2 hours in the chair I needed to stand up. I told her to just cover the white with the pink in her hand to get it done. This is disappointing as it was my Mother’s Day gift from my family and I was so looking forward to French tipped toes to start the summer. The massage was wonderful and the techs were very friendly, but the pedicure not being what I wanted ruined what should have been a relaxing day.
