Originally a frachise salon, Michael Heard took over the location as a franchise in 2018. After cultivating the talent already abundant in the salon as reaffirming the salon’s relationship withthe community of Fairview, Michael decided to make this salon his long term home. In 2020, the salon was officially rebranded as Salon Perspective. By taking the salon’s long history of quality and combining it with a passion for customer service and community outreach,Michael enter the new decade hoping to change a client’s perspective on what a hair salon could be.To provide the highest quality, cutting edge and bespoke hair dressing services to each client that walks through the door. Coupled with a strong focus on the client experience and elevated customer service, we strive to improve how clients see and how they feel about themselves. I brought my 17 year old daughter here on Sunday 10/3 for a full highlight. Amy was her stylist and my daughter thought Amy was great. My daughter really liked talking with Amy and the color turned out really pretty. My issue with the salon is a lack of communication about a few important items. When I booked the appointment, $195 was the price on the website. When I went to pay on the way out, the price was now $245 and included a color fee of $50 that had never been mentioned to me in any previous communication. a 25% price increase certainly deserves a mention. Also, we were never told that the full highlights package didn't include a blow out. Had I known this upfront, I would have booked an additional service with someone else had I known that was the case (I believe Amy said she didn't do blowouts). I've never had highlights where a blowout wasn't included and the client was expected to leave the salon with wet hair. The salon eventually had someone dry my daughter's hair with almost zero styling before she walked out the door. Honestly, it looked like a frizz-ball. You expect that your hair is going to look fantastic after the salon. While the color looked great, the texture of the hair looked like straw. Had either of these price and no blowout been commmunicated in advance, I wouldn't be upset but this didn't happen. We had an unmentioned 25% price hike right hit us when we went to pay and my daughter's hair definitely wasn't looking like she had just been in a salon. Salon Perspective sent an email to confirm the appointment and they also called me to confirm the appointment. Some of this information could have been discussed in advance so we didn't leave with a bad experience.
