My son has been to Cookie Cutters 2-3x and has had at least 8 haircuts in his life (once a month since he turn 10mth). For the first time today he reeeeally had a hard time with the stylist. I’m sure there was more to it and it’s not her fault entirely, but I did want to share that (1) she smelled strongly of cigarette smoke which is very off putting to a pregnant woman and toddler, (2) she didn’t really take time to build a relationship with my son (other stylists have), (3) we ended. Up not using a cape (we’ve always used a cape, I had NO IDEA how messy it was going to be, we had to cancel plans after the cut and both of us had to bathe) and (3) she did a teeeeeerrible cut. I asked to stay long on top and just trim the sides. She took off everything on the top, and shortened his bangs so much I had to ask her if she was going to stop because he was looking bald. She also couldn’t see what she was doing probably because he was moving so much and as a result his bangs are super uneven, she missed hair on his neck (there’s a line where hair starts and stops) and she missed hair around his ears (I know that part is hard, it’s the part I told her mattered most). He came out looking like a cave man, it’s offically his worst cut to date. I would strongly recommend that if a child is too upset for a stylist to feel she can do a good job she should STOP. She totally messed up his hair and now we have to possibly loose a paid photo shoot because of her. I take partial responsibility because i should have told her to just stop instead of trying to trust her. I don’t know her past experiences so I don’t know if she can handle a squirmy kid. My input is that she can’t and had she recommended we stop and try coming back another time to finish I would have agreed, but I was really hoping she was experienced enough to know her own limits. We’ve had great experiences with other stylists and we may consider coming back, but certainly will make sure she is not our stylist.

I have taken my son to this place and i have always liked the service from the different hairstylists but this last one was not very nice. She lacked the patience and was rude to me by telling me to walk away when all i was doing is calming my son.

My sons hair is completely uneven and choppy, it looks like he took scissors to his own hair in some parts. The woman who cut his hair was nice but the cut was awful even when I asked her to fix some parts she just made it worse.

We brought our 7 and 2 year old boys. For a children's hair salon, the lady cutting my 2 year olds hair gave one of the worst experiences ever. She asked to fill in to do the job but she was in a rush and DID NOTHING to calm my son who was traumatized. I regret taking my sons to this place. I should demand my $28 back (for 1 haircut) at least, from this horrible place, what a rip off!

She chopped all his hair after I told her exactly what he gets. She was borderline physically abusive and kept grabbing his neck and head and reprimanding him when he wasn’t even moving. Even AFTER I told her to stop. Said he would’ve gotten a better cut if she was having a better day. 💯 mentally unstable and looks like she learned how to cut hair during her stint in prison. Then on the way out said “in light of all the things going on in the world, a bad haircut doesn’t matter”.
