I am not sure what happened during my visit but it was a disaster. I usually have long hair and my notes should say that I like to take some hair off each visit but still have decently long, flowing hair. The hairstylist confirmed how much hair she would be taking off before cutting, but the proceeds to take the hair on the sides and the back of my head almost completely off, like a buzz cut. She then proceeds to leave my hair long on the top of my head. Looking head on, it looked okay, that is why I didn’t realize something was wrong at first. When I saw the back of my head, I was mortified, my long flowing hair was gone and it looked horrible, it seemed like I was wearing a hat of hair on top of a buzz cut. She even apologized after for going a little short, but I didn’t realize until I got to my car and took videos that it was indeed much much shorter than what I wanted, and it wasn’t even at all, some parts of my hair were longer than others and it didn’t blend at all. It went from buzz cut, to long hair immediately, so it looked absolutely goofy. I did end up paying for the service as I didn’t know how bad it truly was until I got to my car and took videos of myself. When my girlfriend saw it, she was also baffled at the job that was done. We then went to another salon to ask for an opinion and they literally told us it was one of the worst haircuts they have ever seen and were very confused at what the previous hairstylist had done. I do not think I have felt more embarrassed in my entire life. Luckily, the stylist at the other salon were very very kind and did their best at salvaging what I was left with. Unfortunately, I am left with hair that I think looks horrible, but nothing could be as bad as the haircut I got at the Men’s Salon in Aksarben. It’s unfortunate because I’ve had good experiences in the past. After this experience though I shall not be returning. The hair stylist I went to to get my hair fixed told me that it seemed that the person who cut my hair had made a mistake but did not want to tell me, which makes sense now as it seemed throughout my haircut experience that she kept telling me that it looked very cute and that it’s one of her best works she has done, which to anyone else looking at my hair was blatantly not true. If I had truly known the extent of damage that was done to my hair at the visit, I would have most certainly refused to pay. I think I was also treated poorly considering nobody mentioned how bad my haircut was. I feel as if the stylist or receptionist could have at least said something. Even the receptionist at the salon I got my haircut fixed at told me it was bad! I would much rather prefer honesty than someone worrying that I would be upset at a haircut. I have never ever written a review for bad service in my life, but this was just unacceptable. I will be writing a more thorough review on Yelp later, but I would also like the name of the stylist so I can write her name in the review as well. I wish I could upload more photos of before and afters, as it is truly hard to comprehend how bad my hair got messed up.
