We went for my son's second haircut this past weekend. The first time (at a different salon) we just used scissors because I knew he didn't like the clippers. I told Ms Bibi this and she said "I may push my luck", but I didn't fully register what she meant by that. I stepped out to get a toy from the car as requested by the stylist and when I came back in, she was using the clippers and having one of our family members pin my son down as he hysterically cried and screamed. He's only 20 months old, it's not like he was older and having a meltdown. I know kids get upset during haircuts sometimes, but I specifically said he didn't like the clippers. If she couldn't do the cut with just scissors, especially once she saw how upset he was, she should have said so and we would have gone somewhere else.

The stylist was no kid friendly. My child was scared and showed obvious signs of discomfort and stylist seemed annoyed. It very friendly to parent or child

I have had a consistently good experience at this location over the years, with the exception of the stylist we had today. I have done my best to avoid her after the first negative experience, but today we arrived to find out that the stylist with whom we had an appointment wasn’t working today. I hoped that the stylist we had been avoiding had gotten better over the year or two since she had cut my child’s hair so we risked it. It was a mistake. She is physically rough with my child, yanking his hair with a comb (she starts combing at the roots not the ends, so of COURSE she is going to encounter tangles!). She also kept shoving my child’s shoulders down and shoving his head forward and holding it down when she didn’t like how he was positioned. I had to ask her twice to stop being so forceful. When I asked her to stop yanking his hair too (because she kept complaining that he was moving while she was yanking it), I asked that she be more gentle. She huffed and threw the comb down, grabbing a brush instead and asking if that was alright. I scheduled an appointment with a good stylist specifically to avoid this woman, and I wish I had known that we were going to be shifted to her so we could have rescheduled. Why do they continue employing this woman?

The haircut was generally fine except his sideburns were fully cut off without asking. We did not want his sideburns lopped off.

Bibi is awsome! The other person that works at this location is rude. She appears to not want to engage with black ppl. I felt very uncomfortable to be dismissed and than stared at while my white daughter was being serviced. I am not sure if this is acceptable behavior that the owner encourages. I will be seeking help from the NAACP if this happens at my daughters next visit. Like I stated Bibi is awesome and if it wasnt for her we would never come back. This is the second time this has happened to us.

We provided an inspiration photo for the desired haircut. Throughout the appointmrnt, Bibi asked us for direction as it seemed like she didn't know how to duplicate the haircut. The end result was too short on the sides and too long on top. Unfortunate!
