I have been bringing my daughter here for awhile and was shocked to hear that the complementary braid she had been receiving was no longer complementary. It is now an extra $22-$30 to have my daughters hair braided. She has curly hair and I come to this location to see a specific stylist because she knows how to braid my daughters hair. I have been to another kids salon in Mason (Sharkeys) that not only will braid my daughters hair but they will paint her nails (all of this is included in the price which is around $30 for a cut, shampoo, and style).It looks like it might be time to take my business elsewhere. It is absolutely absurd to pay almost $60 for my daughter to have a proper hair cut and feel good about herself walking out of the salon.

Our stylist was great. The woman working the front desk was very rude to the point that we won't return. We arrived at 9:28 for our 9:30 appt. She continued to work at her computer until 9:30 on the dot before she let us in. I'm holding a toddler outside of a business literally modeled towards kids and he's looking inside at the slide and wanting to go in. She apparently thought we weren't as important as what she was doing on her computer. There was some confusion over our appt. (I texted confirmation of appointment the previous evening, never received a confirmation of that. I tried to cancel via text that night around 10pm because it looked like my toddler was going to get a bad night of sleep and would not be in a good mood for a haircut. Received no confirmation of that attempt to cancel. I received a confirmation of appointment this morning at 8:30 and since my toddler was doing fine, we just decided to keep the appointment.) This lady said "you cancelled" when she asked if we had an appointment. I told her that we received confirmation of the appointment this morning or else we wouldn't have come in. She just repeated-"you cancelled". She really seemed to have contempt for me. Taking a 23 month old for a haircut is stressful enough. We've had better customer service when I just take him to my own stylist at a business that is geared for adults.

We loved the most recent person we used - She was quick and professional and wore a mask. However, we will sadly have to stop coming to cookie cutters since most of the staff is not masking. Most children that come to this facility are too young to get vaccinated for Covid and we all know that Covid can still spread whether staff is vaccinated or not. As a pediatrician, it is especially disappointing to see a facility that caters to young children have an optional mask policy. We have been coming here for years and unfortunately will not be using this facility for haircuts anymore, and also will not be recommending it to my young patients due to the lack of masking.

It was pretty busy and we had to wait about 20 minutes past our appointment time to be called back. I also had to wait a few minutes to pay and wasn't acknowledged while standing there. I didn't stand with my daughter while she got her hair cut, as I had another daughter with me, but it didn't look like the stylist talked to her at all. She got a lovely haircut, though. We usually have a better overall experience here than what is reflected in this review.

Store opened 8 minutes late and then the stylists weren't ready. 3 walk-ins were waiting outside at 9:30. First cut wasn't started until 9:42. Stylists spent lots of time on the computer throughout the appointments, helping the receptionist. Fairly frustrating to not walk out the door until 10:30 when we were there at 9:30. We'll never do walk-in again... Haircuts were good. Also, I've always felt that the chairs just aren't clean enough. And my boys have been covered in hair the last few times that we've left.

The haircut turned out nice. No complaints at all about that. There was a lot of hair down in the chair, so my daughter came home with someone else's hair clippings all over her clothes. The TV next to us was extremely loud, even though no one was sitting in it, so my daughter couldn't hear her TV. The person who cut her hair (she didn't introduce herself so I have no idea what her name was) was polite and kind but didn't seem very happy to be there. For the price, I'd rather just take her to a regular salon next time.
