Loved our stylist. Samantha was wonderful. The manager or whoever was at the front desk was not friendly, inviting or helpful. We scheduled online for a first haircut and received a confirmation email. When we arrived they had no record. I showed the email, I was at the right location c about 5 minutes early and the front desk person was just so not helpful…almost seemingly like it was my fault Cookie Cutters scheduling either glitched or she didn’t see it. She was like, “well I think we can fit you in.” No, I scheduled I have the confirmation, I'm supposed to be here. She was not friendly or welcoming, which is the opposite of what I think you would want at a kids hair place. It made me very nervous for my child’s first haircut experience. However, Samantha who cut my child’s hair (also who my online confirmation said I would be working with) was great. She was sweet and kind and honestly, she would be the sole reason I go back. So I am hoping you keep her for a while. She talked but didn’t if my child didn’t want to talk, she explained everything that she was doing and just had an all around good demeanor. Someone like Samantha is who needs to be working the front. Also, the chairs/cars don’t seem overly clean. I can see where it would be difficult to clean. But there was stray hair in all of them, everywhere. I think like a little keyboard air powered cleaner would work wonders.

The wait time past your scheduled appointment is a turn off. The decor is cute and the kids enjoy picking a show to watch while their get their cut. Price is on the higher end for a simple kids cut. Overall good experience and would return for the appointment time flexibility/evening slot.

We had Hope as our salon professional cutting my son Walters hair. This was Walters( 2.5 year old) first professional haircut and I was pretty nervous about it. Walter never sits still and always has to see what’s happening around him, Hope was so patient with him. I had no clue how I wanted my sons first haircut to look I just knew it was time to clean it up and even it out. I really couldn’t picture my son having a grown up man’s haircut…. Hope trimmed Just enough off and made him look so dapper! She was so polite and made sure to ask us before doing anything. I’ll definitely be taking Walter back and asking for Hope.

As a parent of child with ASD, knowing there’s someone like Samantha working in a salon specifically tailored to children, that knows how to manage his sensory needs is beyond a blessing.

This was our first time at Cookie Cutters and we will coming back! Jamie was great with our 22 month old. She made our experience wonderful.
