At Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids children get to enjoy more than the typical salon booster seat. They get to choose their favorite fantasy car to sit in during their haircut and each station has a wide selection of kids’ shows and games. If this doesn’t make their haircut experience happy, our stylists are equipped with bubbles, suckers and balloons to put your child at ease through the entire haircut experience.


We strive to provide a caring environment where we put both the child and the parent at ease.  Our stylists are skilled in cutting hair for all children, and provide that extra special touch for those with special needs. Not all children like to get their haircut, we are aware of this struggle and do all we can to make the experience one that they will want to have again.

We decided on Cookie Cutters after searching high and low online for a kids hairdresser. Turns out, they are alot harder to find than you'd think. Anyways, after reading the reviews and comments, we decided to try Ely at Cookie Cutters and our experience was wonderful! There is a mask requirement, but the salon was fairly busy on a Saturday, so if you are strict with covid, maybe go a weekday when it's less busy. Even though there were quite a few of adults and kids present they did a great job of getting people in and out fast. Ely did a fantastic job working with a first time family. She distracted our son and moved quickly, so an 18 month wasn't sitting for too long. When it came time for the hair trimmers, she showed it to him, so he wouldn't be startled. We were please and will definitely go back!

Lauren was great. We had an appointment but it was busy with walk-ins, am even though we were seen right away, it was obvious that the service needed to go quicker. We asked for glitter hairspray but it wasn’t applied. I also was unhappy with the color options for bows, only option was brown. We would see Lauren again, but it wasn’t our best experience with it clearly being more rushed to get to the next clients.

I booked on the app and thought I’d receive the Wednesday appreciation day pricing of five dollars off a haircut, but I realized later that I was charged full price.

My son is almost 5 and prior to our wonderful experience at Cookie Cutters, we have had terrible experiences for my son with Down syndrome. Not necessarily the fault of the previous salon but I am not sure they knew how to handle a child with sensory issues. Lauren at the Scottsdale location was patient and calm with my son and, even in between all of the resistance and wiggles, gave him a great haircut! This was our first haircut with no tears - still some resistance but no tears! Thank you for being so accommodating!!!
