At Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids children get to enjoy more than the typical salon booster seat. They get to choose their favorite fantasy car to sit in during their haircut and each station has a wide selection of kids’ shows and games. If this doesn’t make their haircut experience happy, our stylists are equipped with bubbles, suckers and balloons to put your child at ease through the entire haircut experience.


We strive to provide a caring environment where we put both the child and the parent at ease.  Our stylists are skilled in cutting hair for all children, and provide that extra special touch for those with special needs. Not all children like to get their haircut, we are aware of this struggle and do all we can to make the experience one that they will want to have again.

We love Ely and she always does a great job on my son. She's the best! When I was there today, I was shocked to see a whole family (mom included) not wearing a mask. The lady at the front did tell her to put her mask on but only after she was told-she had it hanging over her mouth, note even covering her nose. They shouldn't allowed to enter and get their haircuts when they are not wearing a mask. This lady had 7 kids with her. They were running around, touching everything, even things that said cleaned. It isn't your staffs job to police people about wearing their masks. The people coming in should respect your sign and your business and they shouldn't be allowed in. Would hate to see a staff member or someones child get sick over someones disrespect. This is the second time I have been in and someone not wearing a mask. Why have a sign if it is not enforced. I come to your business because of the policies and rules.

Thank you for giving Ely a shout out as she works diligently for our customers. As far as the noncompliance issue you noted, the stylists had already put management on notice of the problem customer and her family as she was asked to wear a mask that we provided and keep her children in her car until each of their appointment times. It is very unfortunate we need to police our salon when policies are clearly posted. As such, this family was asked to not to return to our salon.

I get we are trying to figure out how to run a business during covid - however please figure out how to not have the hair stylist delayed 15 mins for apt bc she is having to clean station between apt. Both apt during covid have been 15 min behind schd. Also please police the customers that are in the store prior to their apt. Bc our girl was behind 15 mins her next apt was there and they didn’t ask her to go back and wait in car. She let her kid run around the whole place as did the mom. Other than that, everything was great. Thank you!

Thank you for your feedback. We do try to stay on time even while taking the extra cleaning precautions during this "new normal". We even build in noncutting time to achieve this. At times because of the difficulty of a cut that cannot be anticipated, the stylist can run behind. We are sorry you were inconvenienced and will strive to have this not happen on your next visit. As far as policing other families, we call each family to educate them on our protocols including not having their child run around the salon and hope they will be the good citizens that we all expect during this time. I have two boys on the autism spectrum, haircuts are a nightmare, however I have taken my older son to cookie cutters and Jackie cut his hair. She was so amazing with him, he went from complete meltdowns going into the salon to getting beyond excited just seeing a cookie cutters logo! My littlest boy still needs some work but Jackie is amazing with him as well! She sprays water in her hands then puts it on his head, she talks to him and shows him what the instruments do! She shows him the noise machine and how it works... like I said he still needs work but she is so patient!!! I will always go to cookie cutters for my boys and request Jackie every time! She deserves a raise!!!

This is the second time we have gone to this salon. We have had a good experience both times. The stylists are great and very patient with my toddler. The only reason I didn't give tens all around is that it was packed this time and we had to wait 5-10 minutes after our appointment time to be seen. We will pick a less busy time next time. Otherwise, they are a stellar group and we would definitely recommend them to anyone.
