At Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids children get to enjoy more than the typical salon booster seat. They get to choose their favorite fantasy car to sit in during their haircut and each station has a wide selection of kids’ shows and games. If this doesn’t make their haircut experience happy, our stylists are equipped with bubbles, suckers and balloons to put your child at ease through the entire haircut experience.


We strive to provide a caring environment where we put both the child and the parent at ease.  Our stylists are skilled in cutting hair for all children, and provide that extra special touch for those with special needs. Not all children like to get their haircut, we are aware of this struggle and do all we can to make the experience one that they will want to have again.

When I initially booked the appointment for my 1 year old I booked him for a bang trim. When we got to the Scottsdale location I had Carly as my hair stylist. She asked me what I wanted and I told her I wanted his bangs trimmed. She took one small piece of his bangs and cut maybe an inch off straight and said, she was done and that’s a bang trim. I told her I could have done that myself at home and he probably needs more of a haircut Vs a bang trim. I asked for her advice and she very rudely said I don’t know what you want but you booked a bang trim and I don’t have time to give him a haircut. Keep in mind she spent less than 2 minutes with us. I got out of her chair with my son and another hair stylist Lina who had just finished cutting my daughters hair (she did a great job) asked me if everything was okay because she could hear how Carly was talking to me. I told her no, I am not happy with the level of service and how I was treated. Lina jumped in and said she would be happy to cut his hair for me and took him right away. She did a wonderful job making great recommendations on how to cut his hair. Carly then came over and said in a very rude way, I don’t know why you walked away from my chair (this was after Lina was cutting his hair) I told her, you said you couldn’t help me and you clearly didn’t want to help me) she stormed off and I was shocked at how she continued to treat me and my family. Lina seemed very uncomfortable as well with the situation. There might be a bigger problem with Carly in that salon in general. Lina ended up providing amazing service and I was really happy with how she cut my sons hair. If it wasn’t for her, I would have left upset and would have never considered coming back or recommending anyone to being there kids. I will recommend Lina to anyone. She was amazing.

The woman who helped me was very distracted the entire time. She was talking with the other stylist about not having enough people there and they both ignored me while she was cutting my son’s hair. I tried making conversation with her and she didn’t even notice because she was listening to the other stylist on the phone. I understand it’s hard when people don’t show up to work but it made me feel like she wasn’t paying attention to my son’s cut. She didn’t interact with him or try to make him smile like other stylists have done previously which is why I drive so far to come here. All the other TVs were on even though no one was in there but my son so it was very noisy. I will definitely be trying to come on a different day since Fridays are obviously bad days to come in.

Extremely disappointed in the lack of mask requirement. Our previous experiences felt safe, this one was not. I won't be back.

We continue to evolve during these changing times. Our salon was fully masked up for over a year then we opened more based on local protocols. Now those are changing again and we have implemented a policy asking all persons including stylists who are not vaccinated to mask up. Thank you for your feedback.

Usually experience s great but I eas supposed to have a $4 credit from last one which sis not show in the system. Then the lady said she had applied the discount and ao I trusted her and paid. However, sitting in my car I double checked the value of kid's cut and that is exactly how much I was charges. Why would the lady say she added 4 to my account if ahe didn't or couldn't and the why dis the lady today say she added the discount if she didn't or couldn't? Two mistakes, two people, to different days - very suspicious. Besides, how come the system does not allow the cashier to cancel a transaction? Honestly, I don't think wr are coming back :(

The stylist who is new to the POS did try to process the credit as promised but unfortunately it was not applied properly. We will refund the card you used today for the $4.00 credit. We haven't had great success at this location. The most recent visit was a perfect example of this. The stylist appeared to be having a bad day (or similar) and this was reflected in their demeanor throughout the visit. Little patience, poor "chairside" manner, sarcastic tone, etc. On top of this the resulting haircut was uneven at best and we'll probably visit another location to have them tidy it up.

Kim our hairdresser was amazing. Everything honestly was great until the end. She was clearly having a problem trying to get the picture to the computer and for it to print. She asked for help several times. The teamwork at that store needs some serious improvement. Nobody came to help her after multiple attempts. It was something that could have been done within minutes, but instead I stood there for 10 to 15 minutes while poor Kim had to try to figure it out on her own. I finally had to say something out loud for the others to actually come and get it figured out. Very disappointing as I have been coming there for years
