Second time here and I requested the stylist to specifically cut my hair differently than before. She did a great job and herself mentioned how much fuller it was at the bottom this time that we didn’t use the thinning shears! She told me about the perks I see for my birthday so I plan on doing a cur&color in a few months!

My friend and I each got just a haircut. She was charged $35, and I was charged $45. I love my cut; I've gone only to Lyra for the past ten years and I'm very happy with her.

This was an expensive haircut for my budget, and it’s a rare experience for me to do something just for me, so I always appreciate it when the experience seems special, and when a stylist is warm and friendly and seems interested in helping me figure out what to do with my hair. My visit to Salon Rouge was completely fine, but not like that. Jenna was perfectly polite, but reserved, and in general the experience was all business. It was professional, efficient, and effective. Jenna was careful to snip off a long piece she had missed, when she noticed it as I was looking in the mirror at the end. I definitely trust her skill, and my new cut and style are fine but not my favorite. I just don’t love this haircut because I think it’s a little too long to be very flattering. I didn’t know it until I had seen how it looked when it was all dry and styled, so it was too late. It’s way, way better than the longer style I had come in with, which was definitely not suited to me! So, overall, today was good, but not the best experience ever. I’m planning to come back to Jenna and give it one more try. I’ll also ask her for a shorter cut next time. Maybe once she has worked with me more than once, it will be a more comfortable experience, and now that I have a better idea of what I need, it will be easier for her to cut it in a way that I’ll like.

I like Salon Rouge a lot, but absolutely love Ally! Having hair colored and cut is no quick process but she makes it so enjoyable every time. She’s very talented but she’s also personally delightful. And took my hair care experience from a dreaded long process to something I can look forward to!

Music selection should be more reflective of a relaxing salon experience. In addition the volume is too high which makes it difficult to communicate with the stylist.
