I think it is ridiculous to charge a less than 10 min staight kids haircut for $21, it makes me not want to tip.

The place was dirty. The windows and floors were dusty and gross and they were running way behind. I’ve had previous appointments and called to let them know I’d be a few minutes late and I was threatened with the policy of being rescheduled if I was more than 10 minutes late. Then I show up on time today to be told they were running a few minutes behind. Ok. It happens. We waited 20 minutes into our appointment time when my kid was finally sat down. The gal was so rushed and was jamming the clippers into my kids head and not taking her time at all. It’s not my fault they were running behind. We were on time but we were punished with a rush job.

Cookie Cutters is my go-to for hair cuts for my almost two year old. My favorite part about them is that they are efficient. Scheduling an appt online is easy and I have never had to wait once I got there. They get the hair cut done in just a few minutes and my boys love the balloons they have as a prize.

I asked for a "basic cut with a quiff hair style" and the "professional" said she was unaware of what I was talking about because "that must be new" (that was my first red flag). Then I said "oh ok.. let me show you a picture", giving her the benefit of the doubt and trusting her with my sons hair. She looks at the picture and says "well I've never done that cut before" (immediately another red flag). As a mom whose son had pictures the same week, I was terrified. His dad even looked at me and asked if we should go somewhere else. Needless to say, my sons cut was very choppy. I only went to barber school for 10 weeks so I'm no "professional" myself, but I do know that each haircut style pertains a unique way of cutting. Unfortunately the paid professional in this case, did not, and that makes me wonder if Cookie Cutters actually takes their hiring seriously.
