I'm overall happy because my son had fun and his hair looked great. But I felt bad for the staff. It seemed like they were understaffed and really busy. I felt like the stylist was stressed and to busy to care about us. I will give it another try because it seems like it could be a great thing.

I've been coming to Layton Cookie Cutters since it opened, been patient through its growing pains, and have had up and down overall experiences. I'm not super picky with my 2 year old daughter's cuts because i know she's squirmy and toddlers are difficult. I smile my way through every perosn I've gone to in that shop complaining about having to cut her bangs because, again, i get it. Toddlers... I actually thought today was a relatively easy cut, done in less than 10 minutes. She moved around but didn't fight. I followed directions by my stylist to try to be helpful. I pay with my prepaid cut card- a promotion heavily encouraged when the Layton shop opened. The cut is normally 15.95, I paid $12 per cut prepaid as part of the promotion. I tipped my stylist $5, as i do every time i go in no matter if its a cut or bang trim. As I am walking out, my daughter's stylist said to the other one, "That's the last free cut I'm doing today!" Now I'm not going to assume she was talking about me, but it was said with enough voice and presumed frustration that it gave the impression to me and the family walking in as i was exiting that I was the person demanding a free haircut. That is really not acceptable, even if she werent speaking of me, that type of complaining doesn't really have a place on the floor with clients. Either way since it gave the appearance of being directed and me, it was embarrassing. Now being embarrassed isn't a big deal for me, but I don't think that it's a place I'll continue to bring my children. I'll take them somewhere that values and respects their clients.

We came because our son is autistic. The lady cutting his hair was amazing! I wish I could say the same about my daughter's haircut. It looks awful. Way shorter that we asked for but she just continued to cut shorter and shorter.I am not pleased to day the least!

I feel like my daughter's appointment was rushed and the stylist did her best, and was nice, but wasn't quite equipped to cut an active toddler. Her bangs and cut are both choppy and I will have bring her back to be fixed.

I have a son that I like to come get a “clean up” cut every two weeks or so. I think paying the full 15 dollars to just trim the neck and blend the top is so expensive. We’re literally there for less than 10 minutes. I love cookie cutters, they are so great with my son so that’s why I come back but I wish it was more affordable for a boys trim. My husband pass less for a full hair cut
