Upon arriving, the environment was chaotic. One woman was cutting the wrong kids hair. We had to come back as we were walk ins and that’s totally fine. But they were very unorganized. The hair dressers were both visibly frustrated and stressed out. They other hair dresser was snapping at her colleague( the lady cutting my sons hair). She at one point told my mother “I’m ready for a drink”. No one had any patience. And the children could feel this. Normally it’s a great experience. Yesterday was absolutely not.

The hair stylist was great - very professional and kind and she did a great job. However, the salon was completely understaffed. The stylist was the only one in the salon and she had to take care of the phone, greet walk-ins, try to figure out why the computer system did not accept some appointments, cash out the customers, in addition to cutting hair. One customer walked out and a couple of others waited, and were not happy about the computer/app glitches that messed up their appointments. In addition, the combs and scissors were not sanitized. Clearly, the management of this salon needs to be improved. Otherwise, customers will not return.

I had an appointment for my son at 1030am and arrived at 1037, the individual that was supposed to cut my sons hair (I’m not sure her name) was then available because we were late which was completely understandable she took the next client. So Kristen cut his hair, and she was PHENOMENAL. The salon was extremely busy and it was very apparent the other stylists were overwhelmed due to the constant comments being made by the stylists both to each other as well as to the customers. However the entire time Kristen was very kind, professional, helpful, and kept a wonderful upbeat attitude to both my son and I as well as the other stylists who didn’t seem to be treating her very kindly as well. Kristen continued to provide amazing customer service by offering my son, and even my daughter who was not receiving a hair cut, a lollipop and a balloon. I told her if she had to blow up the balloons that she didn’t need to due to the other clients still waiting in the lobby. She still asked the kids if they wanted one and managed to get them both a balloon (and extremely quickly at that) which put a smile ear to ear on both of their faces. As I was checking out, this is when I realized we were actually supposed to have a different stylist originally, as I heard her making comments to other stylists about the client that was a “no show” at 1030 and she didn’t have time to sit around and wait for clients that are going to show up. I felt this was extremely unprofessional as I would’ve happily waited due to the fact we were unfortunately a few minutes late. I have nothing but great things to say about Kristen and will definitely be coming back, but next time I will specifically be requesting her to do both my kids’ hair as opposed to just whoever is available. Give Kristen a raise!! :)
