My house has been coming to cookie cutters for some times. He even recieved his first hair cut at the beach Blvd location. The staff has changed over the months we have been coming but my appt on 11/29 was that of no other and it left to me make the decision of never returning to cookie cutter. My son is without a doubt a bit difficult when it comes to cutting his hair, he is only 2yrs old and is very much so afraid of the sound the blade makes. The staff of this day seem very cold and “over” him cru( these are NOT) the usually ladies he sees. During our wait my son had to have a diaper change soo I went to the car to attempt to change him when I realized it wasn’t going to be successful changing him in the car I came to ask the staff if i can use the bathroom to change him. This prompting me to only take out the materials I need to change him, leaving my diaper bag in my car, which to say was parked infront the shop. When my son was finish cutting his hair as we were ready to pay I realized I left my wallet in his diaper bag in the car and asked the receptionist if I can go retrieve it. Her facial expression alone made me realize she wasn’t believing a word I was saying and that my son and I wasn’t goin to be able to leave the store w/o coming up with some common ground with the receptionist. Long story short I had to leave my crying, already scared son alone, unattended in the store(almost as collateral) while I ran to the car to get my wallet. I was so embarrassed because I had to leave my son alone to prove to someone that I “had money” to pay for a $18 hair cut. While he was crying and reaching out for me and other parents stood and look on. I honestly am disappointed at cookie cutters for the way we were treated over a haircut and like I said unfortunately would make us not want to return.

Staff was very nice and very accommodating. The salon was so cute and my kids loved playing on the little mini playground, and they LOVED the “car” salon seats! The hairdresser we had made my oldest little girl feel so special and pretty. She was scared because it was her first haircut, but the hairdresser made her feel excited and perfectly calm. Also, my youngest is a bit of a clinger but the hairdresser got her hair cut quick and easy, with NO TEARS!! I was shocked. Amazing place! I live in St Augustine and I will make that drive any time for the experience we had there. We won’t be going anywhere else!

This was our “first cut” and I understand kids are hard to cut but at the time my son was being very still and not fighting to be held in one spot but the lady was just cutting to cut to get it done. Instead of trying to get him to look straight or focus back forward, as i said he just woke up so he wasn’t really moving much. She cut his bangs and brushed them to the side, but when she said “okay all done, what do you think”. I pushed his bangs back to see how bad they would look not being textured, and they were COMPLETELY uneven. I then ask her to fix it however at that point it was obvious the rest of his head was not even but it was to late and not worth it.

If your child has curly hair, do not take them to this place for a cut. They have no barber on staff to cut this type of hair, but they will tell you that they are able to do it and totally and unapologetically mess up your child's hair. Even when you show them a picture of what you would like your child haircut to look like, they have no clue how to cut it, but they will tell you they can do it and totally botch your child's haircut. This is something that once it's cut you cannot reverse the damage. I took my child there recently to get a cut and even showed them a picture of what I wanted. The barber assured me that she can do it, because she had just done a similar cut....This was far from the truth. I called the manager over to the station to take a look at how this lady was messing up my child hair and the manger looked at me and said "I don't see any problem, that looks fine to me" even though I showed her the picture of what I wanted. They ruined my child 3rd birthday.
