Gunnar’s haircut was fine. Usually the people working at this facility are friendly and upbeat. The stylists seemed not happy to be there.

This is a difficult review to write. On the one hand i was very happy with my older son’s hair cut. The stylist listened and was careful to follow my directions. She consulted me about the length and checked in to make sure both my husband and i were satisfied. Sadly i can’t remember her name. For my younger son I was also Very specific that I just wanted a trim for my little one, bring the curls up a little in the back and trim a little from the front so we could see his eyes. He is 15 months old and this was his FIRST haircut. He had beautiful curls and both my husband I Specified we just wanted them clean up a little. What happened brought tears to my eyes. The stylist instead cut his beautiful curls off. Even as I was Telling her it was too much she KEPT cutting. I was APPALLED. Not only did she ignore our request that our baby keep most of the curls, she continued to cut them off as I was Telling her she was taking too much. She finished by putting curl cream in for the last few curls but within an hour those curls had gone. If we come back, we will Not bring him back to see Jennifer.

Cookie Cutters itself does not have any problem. In their app we selected “ anybody” as employee because of our time shortage. The employee we got was not well experienced I guess. She almost ruined my son’s hair. No sense of symmetry, aesthetics or beauty, or previous sense of how it would be looking like after cutting the hair. I wouldn’t leave this review here unless I experienced it twice. Last time we got the same employee who ruined my daughter’s hair too. Cookie Cutters should be aware enough to select experienced staffs.

I found the lack of communication regarding COVID precautions very frustrating. My daughter and I arrived and proceeded to sit in my car for 45 minutes waiting for our call to come in. I tried calling and texting and never got a response or phone call. I would have left, but my 5 year old was so excited to have her hair cut. I finally called again, 45 minutes after our appointment time only to discover that they had marked us as a no show, even though they never called us. I know they had my correct number as they had texted me the previous day to confirm my appointment. The individual who answered the phone the second time I tried saved our experience. She had just arrived, had us come right in, and gave us $5 off. Also, while we were waiting, a family with 4 kids and 3 adults came out as well as a family with 2 kids and 1 adult. Our location is relatively small, so you can imagine my frustration that so many people would be allowed inside the salon. I imagine your employees were also not happy with so many people in there either. Overall, there needs to be a better process to ensure COVID precautions and to communicate with families who are scheduled.

My daughter loved it... , but I feel the customer service could have been better. Ex: a balloon and sucker were offered as more of an after thought than a courtesy. I feel like the employees could have been more welcoming when I entered the salon/ appreciating my business when we left. The stylist did offer good advice and was able to complete the cut however I didn’t like the employees extra long nails... it seemed like it made it more difficult to cut my daughters hair and to me it’s uncleanly.

Our appointment through the app said it was for 12:15-12:45. We asked if they could curl my daughters hair and they said no because they did not have the time. I would understand this except there were three staff members in the room and my daughter was the only client. Nobody even walked in the entire time we were there. Also her appointment only went until 12:30 so that should leave fifteen extra minutes that they did not use and could’ve curled her hair. Otherwise it was a positive experience. They were quick and nice enough. Not overly friendly but that’s ok. My daughter still left happy. I just wish they had a bit better customer service.
