My sons haircut was so uneven, literally buzzed the sides and trimmed the top, there was no blending nothing, and she missed several spots, I understand it’s a kids haircut but have some pride in your work.

This is the only place I've taken my son for his haircut and all our previous visits have been great. This time was different though. My son has very kinky african-american hair so he's always gotten the same haircut, a close shave using the electric clippers. I asked for the same cut as usual. The stylist asked a couple questions to clarify what I wanted and then she started the cut using the clippers. After shaving 2 or 3 small clumps of hair off the back of his head, the stylist said she needed to comb out his hair. This surprised me because none of the stylists before had done this but I didn't say anything as haircutting is not my field. She began combing out his hair using a small tooth comb but after a few minutes, my son was crying because his hair was being pulled from the combing. The stylist said his hair needed to be combed out or the clippers would pull his hair more. I was at a loss as to what to do so I asked the stylist to do what she could so the shaved hair in the back wasn't noticeable. She tried combing out more hair on the sides of his head and trimmed the edges but he ended up looking like he has a bowl cut from the 80s, with uneven sides and the shaved spot in the back still noticeable (a family member commented on these without me saying anything). The amount of work done (combing and cutting) would barely amount to the cost of a trim but I was still charged full price for a cut that was far below my expectations and satisfaction.

My son is autistic and this is the only place he will go to get his haircut. That’s why it was completely devastating when I brought him in for his cut yesterday and the stylist was professional but very brisk. The worst part was she nipped his ear with the clippers. I didn’t feel she was very apologetic either. Yes, my son was moving. He’s autistic, has ADHD and anxiety. The reason I bring him there is because your stylist are supposed to be able to handle special needs kiddos. Very disappointed. His hair does look great.

Salon was dirty- hair everywhere. Piles of hair on the floors (not cleaned up after previous clients) and hair was also on all the seats, play area, around the hair washing station (on the stairs up to it).

We’ve been coming to cookie cutters for years and have always been very happy with the service and overall experience. This time I brought my 3 children in, and there was 3 stylists going to do all 3 at the same time. Two of them we’ve worked with before and have had wonderful service. The third, April, was new to us, we’ve not met her before. She took my son to a chair, didn’t smile, didn’t ask what show he wanted to watch, didn’t talk to him at all. She bluntly asked me what I wanted done, and stood there with her arms crossed until I could find a photo. She then began doing the cut and I went over to my other sons chair to talk to the other stylist about his length etc. when I turned back around she had used the small trimmer to do his lower back hairline and around his ears, but it was COMPLETELY crooked. I could tell from 10 feet away that she had cut at least an inch higher on the right side, and had shaved off well above his natural hairline. The areas above his ears were jagged and pointed and far too much above his ears. She then used a comb to quickly pull hair on the top and shave it with the clippers, not caring to check if it was even whatsoever. The whole thing took just a couple minutes. When she asked what I thought I pointed out how uneven the back was, she said “oh” and used the clippers to make the other side way too short to even it out somewhat. She didn’t ask if I wanted gel in it, she didn’t say a word to my son, just walked away after. Her entire demeanor was obvious she didn’t want to be there, didn’t care about the product of her work, and probably isn’t used to working with children. After the haircut dried the top is choppy and extremely uneven, with obvious lines where she shaved chunks off, and the back is a disaster. I will never allow my children to be done by her again, and honestly hope to not even see her and experience her attitude in what’s usually such a positive environment again.

I brought my two nieces in for haircuts. The salon is pretty cute for kids. I love the cars used for chairs and that they put on paw patrol on the tv for them. Those were the only positive aspects though. The hair stylist said nothing to my nieces the entire time except asking which car and which show they wanted. It is Halloween and she could have asked what they were doing for Halloween or anything else to be friendly and welcoming for them. I asked to dye their hair for their costumes and she did it, but wasn’t friendly about it. I asked if she could put their hair in buns and she just told me she didn’t have enough time, but even with the hair spray dye she started the second kid 5 minutes early, and she had plenty of time to do it at the end. It didn’t feel like the employee wanted to be there. It may have just been a bad day for her, but the experience wasn’t very fun, so and I would expect more from someone working with children. I would come back anyways because my brother has had a good experience in the past and the setup is really nice for kids. I just wouldn’t schedule with her again. Oh, and I had to go buy some dye and finish the job because it barely showed up in their hair.
