The haircut and the personality of the stylist were great, and my son loved the various vehicles to choose from to have his hair cut in (e.g. plane, car, police vehicle, etc.). However, the building itself was very dirty and when I arrived for my scheduled appointment on time, the front door was still locked and, therefore, my appointment started 5-10 minutes late. There were many hair fluffs scattering the waiting area (and cutting area) despite the salon just opening for the day, and my 2-year-old son found part of a broken off false nail that almost made it in his mouth before I could grab it! I would be more apt to recommend the Hilliard location if they were open and ready to go on time, and the facility was swept and kept clean. It makes me think they almost certainly do not sanitize or clean the toys or the haircutting chairs/vehicles which is not good when you're talking about a place that serves children.

we had been to the facility couple of times now and my kid is a not haircut friendly.. I wish the stylists were a little more friendly and patient. We asked for advice on the cut style and they were like whatever you want us do, so no professional advice whatsoever.

When checking out 2 stylist behind the counter were talkimg. One was getting ready to leave and was getting her tips from the other one. She handed her a dollar and asked for a twenty. When the one standing at the registered looked at her funny the other stylist, who I'm guessing was getting off for the day, said "I know it's RETARDED". First off I'm a mother of an autistic son, who was with me at the time, that word should NEVER be used, and to be used by someone who works with children, probably many who are special needs, on a daily basis I was absolutely disgusted. Your employees need to go through sensitivity training and learn that words can really hurt people even if not directed towards them. I am so disgusted right now that I may never step into another cookie cutters, if my son will allow it.

The stylist didn’t seem to have much experience with young children. She kept admonishing my toddler to do things he was capable of understanding such as don’t raise your shoulders, don’t move, don’t turn your head. She didn’t have much patience with my little guy. It would have been better if she had gone slower and allowed him to become accustomed to the feel of the clippers and to get the occasional wiggle out before continuing.

Our stylist was great, no issues with her. The salon was dirty and outdated, the climber looked like it hadn’t been swept off in months and the merchandise looked like an afterthought, with bare spots and poor placement. We arrived a couple minutes late and were told “they would work us back in” even though all of there stylists were well into cuts and wouldn’t have been ready for us if we got there on time. For what is being done the services are over priced especially with the atmosphere as it was. I wanted to take my child here for her first cut because of it being geared towards kids but I won’t be bringing her back, it wasn’t worth it.

I had e-mailed with the owner about not having a smart phone to download the app. I was told no problem- there would be extra cards for me to use. There were none so Wendy made one for me and they wouldn't let us use it anymore and took it from us. Wendy no longer works there and I was not happy with the haircuts my kids received. We will not be coming back. We have been very loyal customers for 11 years. Started at the Kingsdale location and ended up at Hilliard.
