Tomia really takes her time! She did a fantastic fade and cut on our 2 year old.

It was busier than usual that day so feel like they were more focused on getting people in and out quickly.

I highly recommend Cookie Cutters Durham for your kid's haircuts. The staff do a wonderful job cutting my son and daughter's hair, and are great with the kids. After a scheduling mixup, the manager Daria scheduled us for another time and both she and Temia called to confirm the new time. Even when they are very busy, which they are on the weekends, they take the time to make sure we are happy with our hair cuts.

Our appointment was at 2:30 and we weren’t taken back until 3:15 or after. After being contained for 45 minutes my toddler started to grow cranky from the wait. This did not make for a good start to an already anxious experience of getting a first hair cut. They didn’t have the package with the picture as their picture machine was down. And no one came to apologize for the wait after I waiting for so long. I had to ask when we would be up. The hair stylist was patient and kind and that was the only nice thing about the experience. I won’t be back because unfortunately long waits with a small child is not ideal.

We had been to this Cookie Cutters once before and loved it. The environment is lovely, and the first time we went, we had a short wait and a fantastic haircut. MY son enjoyed playing on the play set. But this time, we arrived to our appointment on time, were checked in, and then waited for 20 minutes. At that point, the woman who had checked us in had disappeared and there was just one woman left who was doing another child's hair. She told us that she was going to be busy for another hour and then she would be off so she wouldn't be able to cut our son's hair and we were going to have to reschedule our appointment. We didn't understand why we were checked in in the first place and had been waiting for so long if our appointment was just going to be canceled. Not to mention that we had driven 40 minutes to get there and had woken our son from his nap in the car. We had to find the manager in the back who said she could fit us in before her next appointment in 10 minutes. She rushed and the haircut wasn't that great, but at least it was done.
