At Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids children get to enjoy more than the typical salon booster seat. They get to choose their favorite fantasy car to sit in during their haircut and each station has a wide selection of kids’ shows. If this doesn’t make their haircut experience happy, our stylists are equipped with bubbles, suckers and balloons to put your child at ease through the entire haircut experience.


We strive to make the haircut experience, whether it is their first or their 15th, a fun and memorable one. Haircuts are painless, literally, and we want them to be the same, figuratively, for parents and their children. I arrived 8 minutes late for our appointment (the address doesn't link up to the map app on my phone, and sent me all the way to Fayetteville st. I called and a nice, patient person directed me where to go). Then we waited 30 minutes for the haircut, which was a long time with a 3 year old and a one year old right before dinnertime. Someone who walked in after us was seen before us, for some unexplained reason. I almost walked out but I needed to get my son's hair cut. The haircut was fine, and quick once it started. I think I annoyed the hair cutter by touching my son's hair before she was finished with the cut, and I was reprimanded.

Brittani was very helpful and reassuring after my daughter cut her own hair with safety scissors. I was afraid we would leave there with a bob but the new hairstyle looks great and nobody has to know why she got it because it wasn’t the dramatic change we feared. Thanks!

This is our third visit to the Cookie Cutters Durham location. We have had a different stylist each time and have been happy with all of them. They are always very patient with my 2 year old and very friendly towards me and my other kids!
