We were late for our appointment and were kindly rescheduled by the receptionist. Unfortunately, our hairstylist was inpatient and did not replicate the haircut that our son requested. A photo was presented which also included a description of the cut (a 2-3inch faux hawk with a fade on the sides and back). She took a cursory glance of the photo, labeled it as a Mohawk, and got to work. Now I understand that working with kids can be stressful but this salon is specifically for children. Over the span of a 15 minute haircut, we heard the stylist’s tone quickly become sharper and more exasperated. Eventually, she requested for me to hold his head still to keep him from shifting. Note that my son is 6.5 years old with diagnosed ADHD. He was not upset, crying, and bouncing around through the session. He would simply forget the stylist’s request to look down, tilting his head up to see the show that the receptionist cut on for him. When the cut was “complete” it was a longer Mohawk-like style from forehead to nape of his neck. The stylist put on a fake smile, told him he looked cool, then asked if I wanted product in it. It’s a Mohawk…I thought that would be assumed. I confirmed and requested for styling advice so I could replicate it at home. Instead, she grabbed some product (I was not privy to the brand/product name), she slapped some on his hair and called it done. That’s it. No subtle spikes nor any gravity-defying peaks. We were all disappointed with the outcome. Thankfully, I was able to cut his hair at home to the style he requested (just your average, artsy mom with hair clippers). As a result of this experience, we will not be returning to this salon.

We are so upset with our sons haircut here! The lady who cut his hair (refused to tell me her name) was hostile amd impatient with my 2 year old who was visibly scared having clippers close to his face but she made ZERO effort to comfort him and didn't even offer to put on the TV for him (which i had requested in the beginning, but she completely ignored me and acted like she was in a hurry....but we were the only customers in the shop). My son was crying the entire time (and usually is able to be distracted with the TV and encouragement) so I had to hold him in my arms the entire time. She barely did a trim with the electric clippers and then asked how it looked and to keep low expectations because my child "hit her" and wouldn't stop moving....which is to be expected of a terrified 2 year old being yelled at to stay still the whole time. I asked her to do basic trimming of his sideburns and neck line which she refused to do but I insisted and had to wrap my arms around my child to keep him still while he was screaming. One of his sideburns she completely chopped off and the other one was so uneven she refused to clean it up. She got hair all over me and didn't even make an effort to clean up my child he was covered in hair head to toe so I had to completely change his outfit. On my way out I told her to never yell at my kid again and she burst out yelling at me that my son had hit her. Ended up walking out. I have never had such a horrible experience here before. We ended up having to try to fix his hair at home so it was even presentable and did a better job than her. Seems like they're desperate to hire and hired very angry, inexperienced people who should never be allowed near kids. I will NEVER be returning here again.

I’ve given Cookie cutters 3 tries. The first time I figured it was just a bad day but then the next two times we had the same exact experience. The lady that was cutting my 3 year old daughter’s hair did nothing but complain about how much she hated her job and how she doesn’t get paid enough and how she’s tired of dealing with the kids all the time. This last appointment that we had with her she was trying to brush my daughter’s extremely curly hair. I’m talking Shirley Temple locks. She barely put any water on it to wet it and she was trying to brush it from the top down instead of from the bottom working her way up. Because she was brushing from the timid down it made the hair at the ends bunch up and made the brush get stuck so she would have to yank it out. My 3 year old was trying her best to sit perfectly still but she was cringing because it was hurting her so badly. I very politely asked the lady if I could brush it out real quick because she’s used to the way I brush her hair. She got very snotty with me and said “well I mean I do this for a living but sure go ahead” This is supposed to be a fun experience for my daughter and she always looks forward to getting her hair cut. I just hate that it wasn’t even about her. The lady didn’t engage in conversation with her but instead was complaining to me about her job. I gave Cookie Cutters-Canton three tries but after this last one we wills not be back.

Absolutely disappointed with our cut today. So upset that our thanksgiving will be with this haircut.Ive been to cookiecutters several time but will never have this individual cut our kids hair again. Also extremely rude. Completely unprofessional and incompetent.
