Cookie Cutters was the first place I ever began taking my daughter when she began getting her hair trimmed (around 2014?). A few years ago when we first began going, the service was excellent- everyone was friendly, the stylists were gentle, engaging, and it was a clean environment. This most recent visit was not one of the better experiences. There were 3 stylists there, one of whom has been there since my daughter began going and she was the friendliest of the three. No one else even looked up or welcomed us or the other customers who walked in. Two of the three stylists seemed annoyed to be there. The floor was filthy with hair. I understand that they had heavy traffic that day and were just trying to keep up. The stylist that did my daughter's hair wasn't very friendly, didn't offer her a movie, and wasn't very gentle. My daughter was a trooper and was toughing it out, but was visibly uncomfortable as the stylist brushed through her hair in a rather rough manner. Then she acted annoyed with my daughter asking "are you tender-headed or something?" I truly think the stylists were all feeling a little over-whelmed with the amount of customers coming through the door. I understand that and I chose to show the stylist grace despite her somewhat crummy attitude. Maybe she was hungry and didn't have a chance to eat anything. I get that way too..."hangry" as some may call it. Maybe having one more staff member would have helped. Either way, I don't want to bash this place like crazy or anything. There have been some great people in there over the years and we've MOSTLY had great experiences. As my daughter will be 6 soon, I will probably begin taking her to Great Clips more often as they are generally a couple dollars cheaper and have done just as good of a job on her hair. But I want to see good businesses like Cookie Cutters continue to flourish and do well. That is why I'm providing feedback. Not to be malice.
