the person who cut my sons hair was not gentle and did not help my son feel particularly comfortable. he was clearly upset and she said, verbatim, “you’re acting like i’m cutting out your eyeballs.” extremely unprofessional. never had this experience here before and will not book with julie again.

I do not recommend this establishment. While I understand that not all stylists are responsible for this experience and that another stylist may have performed better, the individual who assisted us did not meet professional expectations. The haircut lacked proper shape, and despite clearly requesting that only scissors be used, the stylist attempted to use clippers, which did not align with our request or professional standards. Additionally, more hair was cut than we had specified. As a result, we left and had to visit another salon to have my son’s hair corrected.

Today was the worst experience we have ever had at Cookie cutters in the 3 years I’ve been bringing my son there. The hair stylist was impersonal, didn’t listen to anything I asked for, was rude in the end when I said the front looked too short. His hair was all crooked in the back, and she blamed it on him moving too much. She cut his hair way too short and the first thing I had mentioned was we want to keep the hair long. Not what I expected this haircut to be like.

The hairdresser was on the phone texting several times. I was standing there waiting to pay and she was texting for what felt like an inappropriate amount of time.

This is from someone who had been to the salon several times before and also a person who generally doesn’t feel the need to write a review. This visit was incredibly disappointing. The stylist was frustrated that my 2 year old couldn’t keep her head down for the haircut. I asked her to take an inch off and when I noticed she hadn’t done so I asked her to take a bit more off and I got an attitude in return. For a salon that specializes in cutting children’s hair I was very disappointed in the stylist’s ability to communicate with children. I won’t be back.

When we walked in to check in the receptionist did not look up from her phone to check us in and the play area was very dirty and dusty. I get that kids are getting their haircut and it’s going to get everywhere, but you could tell nothing has been cleaned in a long time. Then with the haircut the girl who cut my son’s hair was so rough with him and had no patience. He’s only two and yes he was very upset during his haircut, but she was very aggressive with how she was holding his head. When he was done and I got him out of the chair she then kept getting in his face trying to put powder on him so he didn’t get itchy, but he was very clearly over it and I had to forcefully tell her please stop touching my child.
