We did not have a good experience. I went to the Algonquin location. The lady that did my daughters hair was the oldest lady from the salon. I told her I wanted a u shape since my daughters hair had no layers. She did a face frame which gave her small layers that are all over her face now. The haircut was very fast, it felt to me like she was chipping off hair instead of cutting it off. She missed some hair because there are some pieces of hair that are longer than the layer of hair. Several times she commented it on how my daughter kept looking down instead of straight and I told her that the tv should be elevated since she’s looking at it and being that she’s 6 years old she needs to look down. She then started blow drying her hair after the hair cut which I found strange since other stylist would just do a small braid on the side when done. As she was struggling to blow dry (style) the very little hair that was left from the hair cut she asked me if I had washed my daughters hair last night since she was struggling to get the comb through her hair. I felt embarrassed for this lady to ask me this in front of other customers. She must not understand age appropriateness because kids usually don’t get their hair blow dryer. My daughter later told me that the dryer felt very hot for her and didn’t understand what was happening. This lady took 3 minutes to cut my daughters hair and then planned on spending a long time blow drying her hair, makes no sense. I’m there for a quality hair cut where we have a good experience. Instead my daughter got the worst hair cut and our experience was horrible. My other daughter was going to also get a hair cut but after seeing this lady cut my daughters hair, I didn’t allow her to cut my other daughters hair. This salon is cute but the quality of some stylist is not good. I don’t plan on coming back.
