I searched online reviews for a local place that knew how to cut Asian women’s short hair and found that Salon Joa had many high reviews, including short Asian hair. I had a lovely visit with an in-depth discussion of the overall hairstyle I wanted to go for. I also set up regular appointments to help maintain my short hair. Overall, had a great experience and can’t wait to come back again.

I just moved from Portland, Oregon to Denver and I was nervous to find a new stylist––knowing that not everyone knows how to cut Asian hair well (lots of uneven bobs and over-thinning...eek!). I was prepared to try out a few salons, but on my first try at Salon Joa, I found Cristela and I am definitely going back! She not only knew how to work with my straight and silky hair, but she also explained and showed me how to style my hair to get the result I wanted. I wasn't able to find a single picture of the exact cut that I wanted, so I brought in 5 different photos. She asked clarifying questions and she was able to piece together what I wanted EXACTLY. I love my hair cut (!!!) and I will definitely be back to see Cristela again!

Overall really like the salon and Darci did an awesome job with both my cut and my color. Great experience. My only comment is that I think overall the salon could be a little cleaner. Felt just a bit dirty though staff was cleaning up.
