I think the salon is great. Great location, atmosphere, professionalism, customer service, attitude, etc. Mostly everything is great. But my hair is not great. Didn't like how it looked to be honest. The back of my head/hair is way too flat, and I look hideous from the side. The top of my head/hair is not symmetrical. You know like one side is higher than the other. Actually quite surprised by how flat it is because nobody cuts like that anymore. Usually the back of my head's hair is longer than gradually shorter down the neck. Not the stylist fault, he was good and did a lot of little things that I never experienced before. Asian hair cutting in America is hit or miss to be honest, hard to find a stylist that knows how to cut hard hair. Not blaming anyone, the stylist is great I am sure, but I probably won't be driving 40 min for another visit. Thank you,

My polish could have used another coat. It’s see through in some spots.

Beautiful salon. I loved the environment. However at the end of the day I'd rather go to a dump salon and leave with amazing nails than go to a beautiful salon and leave with poor quality nails. I made an appointment with a friend of mine. When we arrived they only had one of us on the books for the day. It was my friends mistake, she put the wrong day down when she requested the appointment. However... Instead of taking care of me, they serviced my friend first, and it was the nail tech I requested. I guess there was no one else who could do my nails so I had to just wait and watch as my friend had her nails done. My friend was only getting polish, and I was getting a full set and polish. We were rushed for time at the end, so my nails were rushed. Anyone that has had their nails done knows tips take more time and care than a simple polish. So I had to leave with uneven and rough nails. A week later one popped right off as I was grabbing groceries out of my car. So overall... I'll stick with my $30 set that lasts 4 weeks or more from the hole in the wall salon, over the $60 set that doesn't last.

I had a haircut with Jay today. He was great to talk to. I asked for a textured/choppy bob and he seemed to know what I want. I even show him a picture. However, I was surprised that my haircut look more one length bob rather than texture. It also seems like he didn't put that much effort in styling my hair to the way I want but rather just blow drying it. I am coming back on Friday for a balayage and will ask Jay to trim the bottom of the bob so it's more choppy, rather than one

I asked the stylist to take off half and inch and it looks like she took off more than that. She took quite a while to blow dry my hair and my hair is very fine so I thought that was definitely unnecessary. She also blow dried my hair flat against my head, which I did not think looked good.

I have been to Salon Joa before when it comes to my hair I loved it so much that I decided to go in for my nails I was excited because I had read so many good reviews and I also read on their website everything they did. I went to get a simple gel color on my nails and the lady that helped me recommend me to get dip powder so I was ‘sure why not’,well my nails didn’t come out as I expected and the lady that helped me seem like she didn’t know what she was doing she had to redo my nails about 4 times because she kept messing up. I really wanted to like this place because Danielle did such a great job with my hair and I wanted to make this place my go to place when it came to my nails as well. There goes my $60 dollars... also some of my nails look slanted how is that even possible.
