My 3yo is autistic and absolutely hates haircuts. We were randomly assigned a stylist named Candy and she took amazing care of him!!! She was quick, gentle, and showered him with praise (his favorite.) By the end of the appointment, he had stopped crying and gave her a HUGE hug, something very unusual for him. We all had tears at that point. On the way out, he checked out the play area and the claw game, all very exciting for him. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Candy for making what is usually a traumatic experience such a good one! And, thank you to reception for having rewards besides candy or stickers, he loved the google-eyed rings and usually misses out on treats/rewards because of picky eating.
