After a disastrous haircut last June at a different salon, I swore off letting anyone touch my hair until a dear friend recommended Freddie b's salon to me. I'm so grateful! The booking process online was super convenient. They followed up professionally to confirm the appointment. I was greeted politely and with a selection of tea or coffee (or water). I arrived unexpectedly early, but they called Val, my stylist, to let her know I was there and she immediately headed to the appointment. I explained my highly painful experience at the other salon and why my hair was in such awful shape. She understood and followed my wishes for a new cut that will let my hair grow out, but still be lovely. In fact, somehow, she managed to make it seem like my hair is longer than it is. Miraculous! She was up front on what could be done and that the growing out after the disastrous cut will take time to transition into what my goal hairstyle is, but what she did as the in between stage is beautiful and makes me feel like I don't need to hide behind hats, hair clips, and bobby pins anymore. THANK YOU VAL! And I paid the same price as I paid for the horrible hairdo at the other place, so the pricing is reasonable - not snob salon pricing that working people can't afford. Everyone was laid back. The salon is very clean and stylish in a retro building, and no one tried to upsell me into a thousand things I don't need. Guess what? That means I'll happily keep coming back...and will book more services like facials in the near future. If you don't know where to go for your style, go here. You won't be disappointed.
